Pochade (from French
Poche, pocket or Pocher
meaning to sketch) is a small, quick
painted sketch, usually rendered in
oils. The Pochade Box, is a small
portable "studio", holding
canvases, brushes, paints and any
other items that can fit in.
Ricardo made and designed his own
pochade box. It holds 6 canvases of
20cm (8") x 15cm (6"), that
can safely be stored, wet within the
box as well as brushes, paints, turps
and a small light for night time painting,
to illuminate the painting and palette.
The box can attach to a camera tripod,
or be held close to the chest with
the strap.
The paintings contained within the
pochade galleries are all rendered
in oils, and can be purchased framed
or unframed in mountboard. |
